A monumental tribute to the presence, everyday life and diversity of women’s experience.

Ella, by María Fernanda Cuartas, depicts a seated female figure whose lack of facial features avoids an individual identity. This expressive device removes a particular face from the sculpture, turning it into an open representation of womanhood.

Located at the entrance roundabout of Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Palmaseca, Valle del Cauca, the work acts as a welcoming symbol in which every female viewer may recognize herself.
